View: North of the Golden Gate Bridge, up on Conzelman Road.  View of the City behind the bridge.  Second place is Christmas Tree Point at Twin Peaks.

Normal Restaurant: Jackson-Fillmore.  Local Italian restaurant that usually has an opening, and if not, you can sit at the bar.  For more options, see the Restaurants page.
Reasonably priced amazing dinner: State Bird Provisions. They have gotten mega-popular, so if you show up 4 hours before they open you might have a chance of eating there. Insanely good, insanely busy, but doesn't break the bank.
Expensive Dinner: Gary Danko. We've never been but it's a perennial best restaurant recommendation from many folks we trust.

Brunch: The corner of California and Larkin. Both MyMy and Olea are fantastic, we go to whichever one has the shorter wait.

Fish tacos: Nicks Crispy Tacos on Polk at Broadway. Get them Nick's Way and make sure to bring cash.
Sushi: open question!
Oysters: Blue Swan Oyster Depot on Polk street at Pine. You must get there early and be prepared to wait; avoid on weekends.

Chocolate: Dandelion Chocolate on Valencia in the Mission.  They make it there!
Ice cream: Salt & Straw.  Big shake up here, with the new chain from Portland knocking off Bi-Rite Creamery on 18th Street.  S&S is in Pacific Heights, and I recommend you go with their monthly rotating selections.
Coffee: Four-barrel, but see the Coffee page for more.

Beer: Toronado on Haight Street, at Fillmore.  No frills, just great beer.  Check out all the selections from Moonlight.
Michelada: Tacolicious.  They are expanding, and have locations in the Marina and Mission, and probably more.  Tecate, lime juice, Tapatio and salt.  It's all you need!
